The terms How it travels

How it
travels.

These are the terms every order travels under. No order has left the building yet, and this page says so rather than implying a history it does not have.

Shipping, as intended

One box, one shipment. The house is too small for anything else.

La Routine goes out as a single parcel — three objects, one piece of packaging. Single objects travel the same way, in a smaller box.

Where we intend to ship

The United States and Canada at opening, followed by the United Kingdom and the European Union. We would rather serve two regions properly than eight badly, so the list is short on purpose and will lengthen slowly.

What it will cost

Standard shipping is included on La Routine and on any box that contains it. Otherwise checkout shows one flat standard rate based on the house's current fulfillment cost, before anything is confirmed. It is not used as a hidden margin.

How long it will take

  • Dispatch within two business days of the order.
  • Three to six business days in transit, domestically.
  • Longer across a border, and we will say how much longer at the time rather than print an average here.

Duties and taxes

Where a destination charges import duty, it is the recipient's. We will show the expected figure at checkout wherever the carrier lets us, and we will not pretend it does not exist.

Every figure on this page is in force as written and binds the house from the first order. Where a figure is a carrier's rather than ours, the page says so.

Why publish early

A shipping page written after the first complaint is written to protect the house. One written before the first order is written to be fair.

Packaging

Recyclable board, paper tape, no plastic window, no second box inside the first. Nothing in the parcel exists to be photographed being opened.

Tracking

Every parcel is tracked and the number reaches you the moment it exists, not the morning after.

If something here is unclear before it is even in force, that is worth telling us.

The letter

The house writes.
Rarely, and only when something changed.

A letter when an object joins the catalogue, when one leaves it, or when a price moves — and nothing in between. What we know and what we do not is written the same way here as it is on the product pages.
